COVID 19 Vaccination Support Staff - Full Time Positions

This is an OPS (Other Personal Services) position and as such no paid time off is offered. Health benefits will be offered for full-time employment. OPS employees are eligible to participate in a deferred compensation plan.

POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

OPS Position is located at the Orange County Convention Center Vaccination site and occasionally offsite events. Working hours is 6:30am-3pm or 2:30pm to 9:30pm Monday through Saturday.

DUTIES INCLUDE

  • Traffic Flow Monitoring
  • Greet and direct individuals to the registration area
  • Patient registration
  • Assisting with set-up and breakdown of community event sites
  • Front door client and staff screening

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Excellent and sensitive interpersonal, cultural sensitivity, and interviewing skills such that they can build and maintain trust with client.
  • Knowledge of Basic leadership principles and practices and able to solve problems and make decisions.
  • Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work activities and to follow instructions.
  • Ability to work independently and under stressful situations

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduation from high school or a possession of a GED.
  • Ability to work varied hours including nights and weekends according to agency needs.
  • Work Environment/Conditions: Site work requiring physical effort including, stooping, kneeling, bending, walking, standing for long periods of time, lifting and working in unit locations. Work may be outside with exposure to weather conditions.

  • Patient isolation notification, contact tracing

POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

OPS Position is located at the Zora Neale Hurston State building, 400 W. Robinson Street, Orlando, FL 32801.  Working hours are 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Monday through Friday, but may include off-site assignments and weekend hours.

DUTIES INCLUDE

  • Performing descriptive and analytic epidemiologic investigations involving cases, clusters and outbreaks of COVID-19.
  • Conducting case investigations and interviews, contact tracing, prompt implementation of appropriate control measures, coordinating shipment of laboratory specimens to BPHL, case documentation and timely reporting, research and public health surveillance, and field epidemiological investigations of disease clusters, outbreaks, and individual cases of COVID-19.
  • Explaining information and recommendations regarding isolation and quarantine parameters, services available to case, and monitors case for ongoing needs and disease clearance.
  • Answering telephone inquiries involved with contact tracing duties related to quarantine and monitoring of contacts.

DUTIES INCLUDE

  • Explains information and recommendations regarding isolation and quarantine parameters, services available to case, and monitors case for ongoing needs and disease clearance.
  • Answers telephone inquiries involved with contact tracing duties related to quarantine and monitoring of contacts.
  • Completion of paperwork for each case
  • Mailing contacts their test result information
  • Entering cases and information into surveillance system
  • Other duties may include, but are not limited to: assisting with set up for testing events, assisting with registration/ labels for testing events
