- Interested in Volunteering?
Volunteers are needed for many programs and services at various locations throughout Orange County. If you would like to become a volunteer with our agency please complete our Volunteer Application.
The following are requirements for all Interns and Volunteers:
- All prospective volunteers are asked to fill out a Volunteer Services Application. Once the application is received, it will be reviewed by our Volunteer Coordinator and you will be notified of its status.
- If the area or program you prefer is accepting volunteers, you may be contacted for an interview to ensure proper placement.
- Background screening is required for volunteers who are placed in programs within the agency. If you are accepted as a volunteer, you will be scheduled for an appointment to be fingerprinted.
- All volunteers are required to attend a volunteer orientation and complete online trainings.
- All volunteers are required to report their time to the Volunteer Coordinator.
The following are additional requirements for medical professional volunteers:
- A copy of your resume/CV must be emailed to the Volunteer Coordinator in addition to the submission of the online application.
- Proof of your active medical license must be provided for interview.
- Proof of your current CPR certification must be provided for interview.

For students that are interested in interning with our agency please complete our Internship Application.
Please note the following are requirements for all Interns:
- An active Affiliation Agreement between the college/university and the Florida Department of Health in Orange County is required for all internships.
- All prospective interns must fill out an application to be considered. Once the application is received and reviewed you may be contacted for an interview if space is available.
- A Level 2 Background screening/fingerprinting is required for all interns. You will be contacted to schedule an appointment if needed.
- All interns are required to attend an orientation and complete required trainings before they report to their new assignments.
- All interns are required to report their time to the Volunteer Coordinator.
