Road to Resilience, ACEs Training for Healthcare professionals, Social Workers and Mental Health Therapist

On April 30, 2019, the community is invited to attend the free Road to Resilience training event hosted by the Florida Department of Health in Orange County.

The training begins at 1pm and will be held at the Orlando Regional Medical Center, 52 W. Underwood Street, Orlando, Florida 32806. The training will be delivered by Carolann Duncan, MS, Trauma Informed Response trainer.

This is your opportunity to learn the science of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), and how ACEs impacts children and how professionals can help children grow and heal after adversity. ACEs and toxic stress have a direct impact on an individual's health and well-being. As an ACEs score increases, so do the risk of disease, social and emotional problems, and can alter brain development and have lifelong effects on health. Healthcare professionals, social workers and mental health therapist can attend this FREE training. CEUs will be issued for qualified participants (See the registration website for details).
