Childbirth
These classes are designed to prepare expectant parents for the childbirth experience. This is a four evening class series that covers signs of labor, preparation for labor and birth, breathing techniques, stages of labor and birth, medications, comfort measures, and more.
A one-day class is also offered on Saturdays. Advance registration is required.
Classes are held at various locations throughout the county. Participants are encouraged to bring two pillows, blanket or yoga mat, and a snack/drink.

Boot Camp for New Dads
Boot Camp for New Dads is an educational program taught by fathers for new fathers. It consists of a three hour workshop covering not only baby care and fatherhood, but also the needs of new mothers.
- The first hour is dedicated to discussing topics, such as forming a new family, changing role of fathers, ensuring your baby’s safety, and helping mom with breastfeeding.
- The second hour is a hands-on opportunity for prospective dads to practice their baby care skills, such as changing a diaper, feeding, and burping, all under the guidance of veteran dads who bring their new babies to class.
- The third hour is an interactive session featuring the best advice that veteran dads can offer new rookies.
Classes are offered throughout the county at several locations. Advanced registration is required.

The 24/7 Dad Program
The 24/7 Dad program is an evidence-based fatherhood program by the National Fatherhood Initiative (NFI) designed to improve fathers’ knowledge, attitudes, and skills through structured lessons and group activities, focusing on areas like self-awareness, communication, co-parenting, and positive parenting behaviors.
The program helps men develop essential skills to build strong, positive, and lasting relationships with their children.

Safe Ride 4 Babies, a Car Seat Safety Class
Safe Ride 4 Babies car seat class includes topics such as car seat safety, recall updates, and proper car seat installation.
- Cost is $35, participants receive a new (Evenflo SureRide/Titan 65) convertible seat, valued at $90.
Women and Infant Support Education
Women and Infant Support Education (W.I.S.E.) classes raises awareness and instructs participants on the importance of maternal health.
W.I.S.E. is a 4-week informational class focused on topics, including maternal and reproductive health, child development, breastfeeding, safe sleep, shaken baby syndrome, and infant CPR.
Upon completion of the 4-week class, participants work towards having a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby. Participants will also be able to identify and assess their child’s growth and developmental milestone achievements.
