Family planning services are available to every person of childbearing age. Prenatal services are available to uninsured, underinsured or Medicaid-qualified pregnant women residing in Orange County.
Program Eligibility
Medicaid – Presumptive Eligibility for Pregnant Women (PEPW)
The PEPW program provides temporary coverage for prenatal care only. Our Access to Care Coordinators can assist with the application for this coverage.
- Must be pregnant
- Have a household income less than or equal to 185 percent of the current Federal Poverty Level
- Citizenship/alien status and providing SSN are not necessary to qualify
Medicaid – Family Planning Waiver Program
The Family Planning Waiver Program covers family planning services to eligible women:
- Between ages 14 through 55
- Have lost full Medicaid services for any reason in the past 24 months
- Wants to have family planning services
- Is not pregnant
- Have not had a hysterectomy or sterilization (tubes tied)
- Have a household income less than or equal to 185% of the current Federal Poverty Level
The Medicaid Family Planning Waiver program covers family planning services to eligible women, ages 14 through 55. Services are provided up to 24 months.

Services:
- Referrals for specialty care for colposcopy and cryosurgery procedures and follow up for abnormal PAP tests.
- Comprehensive family planning care for those of of childbearing age
- Low cost or no cost pregnancy testing.
- Developing your Reproductive Life Plan is an important part of your care.
- Emphasis on education for prevention of STIs (Sexually Transmitted Infections) including HIV and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Treatment of STIs as part of your family planning care
- Pregnancy testing
Pregnancy testing
Pregnancy Testing (urine/blood testing) is available. Services are provided in a confidential manner. Call 407-858-1487 for more information and to schedule an appointment at a location near you! Results are available immediately. The test cost is covered by Medicaid for those who are eligible. Fees are charged on a sliding scale based on income and are determined through our Access to Care process.
In addition, family planning information, education and services reduce both the incidence and impact of sexually transmitted diseases through education, screening, and treatment.
Services are provided in a confidential manner. Fees are based on eligibility determination. Family Planning services are usually provided to teens at no cost.
We provide services for the uninsured as well as those that are Medicaid-qualified, including Family Planning Medicaid Waiver and Medicaid HMOs.
Our Family Planning Access to Care Coordinator will assist clients to determine qualification for specific programs and services, assessing payment structure through a sliding fee scale. Clients may be eligible for the Florida Medicaid, Family Planning Waiver or a sliding fee scale. You may elect to pay full fees for Family Planning services at time of screening process.
