TEEN PREGNANCY PREVENTION MONTH
The month of May is recognized as Teen Pregnancy Prevention Month. The Florida Department of Health in Orange County wants to make the public aware of the impacts of unintended teen pregnancy, and the need to reduce the rate of teen pregnancy in Orange County.

DOH-Orange launches its Healthy Retail Recognition Program
The Florida Department of Health in Orange County (DOH-Orange) announces the launch of its Healthy Retail Recognition program to recognize businesses that promote healthy living and healthy messages.
With the increase in measles cases across the US, the Florida Department of Health in Orange County (DOH-Orange) is urging Floridians and visitors who have not been immunized to get vaccinated.
Upon receiving the award. Dr. Cadet stated, “I strongly believe that we are all created for a purpose, which is to serve God and each other.” Dr. Cadet believes that he has been blessed with the public health, medical, and language skills to reach out to as many people as possible.
April is Sexually Transmitted Disease Awareness month. On Wednesdays during the month, the Florida Department of Health in Orange County’s Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) Clinic in downtown Orlando will conduct free STD testing during clinic hours (7:30am – 11am and 12:30pm – 4pm).
