DOH-ORANGE CELEBRATES NATIONAL NURSES WEEK

May 06, 2015

The Florida Department of Health in Orange County (DOH-Orange) is celebrating May 6-12 as National Nurses Week, an annual opportunity for communities to recognize the full range of nurses’ contributions. DOH-Orange nurses are committed with the health of clients, patients and their families in Orange County.

The theme for this year’s National Nurses Week is Ethical Practice, Quality Care, and it recognizes the importance of ethics in nursing and acknowledges the strong commitment, compassion and care nurses display in their practice and profession.

“DOH-Orange nurses are making a difference in the lives they touch and clients they serve. Quality care, prevention, education, and involvement with emerging disease are among some of the contributions they provide to improve the community’s health,” said Gabriele Bloodworth RN, MPH, nursing director for the Florida Department of Health in Orange County.
