Public Health Week Call for Nominations 2018

Do you know of a Public Health Hero in the community that needs to be recognized for their service? During National Public Health Week, April 2-8, 2018, the Florida Department of Health in Orange County (DOH-Orange) seeks to recognize such individuals with the 2018 Public Health Hero Award.  

The deadline to nominate an individual is March 19, 2018. You can do so by completing the nomination form, which can be found on the DOH-Orange web site at: https://orange.floridahealth.gov/index.html.  Email nominations or questions to Kariely.Negron@flhealth.gov

The nominee should demonstrate thorough knowledge and experience in their field, leadership skills, compassion and sensitivity, participation in activities that serve to improve the community, and a supports DOH-Orange’s Mission, Vision and Values. 

What is a Public Health Hero? It is someone who best personifies the spirit of public health through a commitment to improving the lives of the people we serve, and contributes to building a healthier community.
