October 11, 2018
Today the Florida Department of Health in Orange County (DOH-Orange) deployed a team of seven employees to assist with the Hurricane Michael recovery efforts in the northwest area of Florida. Coordinated under the State Emergency Response Team (ESF-8), DOH-Orange’s team consisted of Emergency Operations staff, business professionals, support personnel, and a nurse.
This one week assignment is similar to the DOH-Orange Team that was deployed in September to assist with the recovery efforts related to Hurricane Florence that impacted North Carolina.
