The Florida Department of Health's emergency operations team are responsible for planning and responding to any disaster or emergency event that affects the health and medical infrastructure.

The team is part of Region 5 of the Florida Domestic Security Task Force and, when needed, assists with disaster events that have occurred in other Florida counties. During times of catastrophic national incidents the team may deploy to disasters outside of Florida.

The Office of Emergency Operations ensures essential public health services throughout disaster events through coordination with Orange County emergency services agencies, federal, state, and local agencies, local hospitals, and volunteer organizations.


Comprehensive Emergency Management Plans (CEMPs): Home Health Agencies, Nurse Registries, Hospices, and Home Medical Equipment Providers

All CEMPs will be reviewed for compliance with Florida laws.

Electronic Submissions
Providers licensed to operate in multiple counties are only required to submit the CEMP once and it will be distributed to all county health departments required to conduct a review.

Fees
DOH-Orange charges a fee of $60 for CEMP review: CEMP review payment submission form.
