Client Advisory Group

A Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (RWHAP) requires that clients receiving services have meaningful input into services provided and the quality of services provided. The Client Advisory Group (CAG) is a group of current clients or their legal guardians of the Sunshine Care Center (SCC) at the Florida Department of Health in Orange County that fulfills this requirement.

Clients come together to enhance the services of SCC. CAG provides the SCC with input and guidance regarding the design, delivery and quality of care.

To be effective, CAGs follow approved operating procedures to guide them in completing tasks such as selecting members, convening meetings, gathering feedback, and working with clinics to improve their operations and the quality of services.

CAG is an open forum to bring or exchange clients’ needs and provide ways to resolve issues effectively. Meetings are on the last Monday of each month at the SCC. Clients are encouraged to be proactive in improving their own lives, which includes healthcare. It is one of the most important things that we, as a group, can do for ourselves.
